Coastal rescue in and around Grenaa

Grenaa Rescue Station carries out rescue operations, transports patients from cruise ships and helps yachtsmen with engine problems. For customers of Grenaa Harbour, having the rescue station close by is a particular advantage - it provides extra security and fast assistance.

Grenaa Rescue Station is equipped with two boats. Anna E. Rørbye is the safe choice in extreme weather and is the larger of the two available boats. The boat has a top speed of 16 knots. The sprinter FRB-10 is in the water in less than three minutes and has a top speed of 45 knots. The station was established in the late 1800s and has been located at Fiskerikajerne 22 since 1992. Grenaa is one of the 21 stations of the Coastal Rescue Service.
